SsangYong's Commercial Vehicles
The largest car produced by SsangYong is a four wheel drive that can be converted into a van and function as a light commercial vehicle. Rexton C-S is a fairly big vehicle at a very affordable price. At a price that is below £20,000 you cannot find a better vehicle for the space that it has to offer. And this can really help you out if you are buying the Rexton C-S for commercial use. The low price means that you may sacrifice some quality and performance. It is stylish in its looks and looks very big.
The Rexton C-S is spacious and reliable, but its performance is not all that great. Nor are its interiors. The engine is a little rough when it is taxed, but the looks of the van are good and it is relatively cheap to run. Because of its price it definitely does have its own market niche and compared to conventional vans of similar capacities and which are 4X4s, is quite ideal for use.
If you are looking for a choice of engine capacities you could be disappointed. There is only one engine choice and that is its 2.7 liter capacity diesel engine. This does however perform well enough, to make it one of its strong selling points. It is a turbocharged, five cylinder engine with common rail injection and is a design sourced from their collaborators Mercedes-Benz. It gives you a brake horse power of 163 at 4000rpm and at 2400rpm you can get a torque of 340Nm. The normal supply of power from the engine is to the rear wheels, but in slippery conditions the power is automatically sent to the axle that has more grip and this makes it easier to drive where the terrain is bumpy.

It has an electronic stability program and its hill descent control gives more safety. On a level paved road, it is not the smoothest of rides, but with its looks and the ability to deliver when conditions are rough it is definitely a LCV that you can consider buying. Its gear changing is strong but needs more acceleration when you are going onto roundabouts or coming out of a T junction. It takes about 13 seconds to reach 60mph and has a top speed of 110 mph. Its weight at 2.76 ton can haul 3.2 tons quite easily. Its price is the same as for a much smaller SUV, but SsangYong being a less popular manufacturer does depress the sale value when you want to trade it in after three years.
This argument is redundant when you realize the extra space that the Rexton C-S does give you. It also gives a very comfortable 37 miles per gallon and this may mean that over time you have hauled much more freight at a far lower cost. It also has a warranty for 100,000 miles or three years, which is very useful for any owner to have, if he is running a commercial venture.
